SPI dongle other than Total Phase Aardvark

Hi,

Could you tell me if AWE work only with Totalphase Aardvark for SPI communication?

 

I would like to establish an SPI communication between PC and a SHARC board running with AWE core.

And I'm looking for a cheaper SPI dongle because Aardvark is a bit expensive here in Japan.

 

I am wondering if I could use a general USB-SPI interface other than Aardvark for AWE core communication.

I have not tried yet, but NXP interface shown below looks suitable to convert USB to SPI.

Our target DSP is ADSP-21565, and BSP is based on dspconcepts-awe8-bsp-adi-21569-som-f1570cb92788.

Could you please check the availability of general SPI-USB adapters?
