Am new to AWE Designer.
I am trying to test and run the Mixing Console Example awd file. When I click "Run", i get the AWE Designer error: " Audio file cannot be found: C:\\SVN\AudioWeaver\Audio\Bach Piano.mp3. Check your audio paths in the File-> set search file paths"
1. In the first place i do not have any SVN folder on my computer
AudioWeaver is installed in C:\\ DSP Concepts
2. All attempts to use the result of the search paths dialog box does not work. and programme still asks for file from the non existing SVN folder!
3. Am running Windows (7)
Any pointers/ help will be appreciated

Hello Gipsyblues,
The path to the 'Bach Piano.mp3' file is not correct. In Audio Weaver Designer, please navigate to the top menu bar, and click 'Layout > Layout Properties...'. In the PC/Linux Audio Menu Section, change the 'File Name' by clicking the 'Browse' button, navigate to the "C:\DSP Concepts\AWE Designer 8.B.1.5.C STMicro\Audio" folder, and select 'Bach Piano.mp3'. This should remedy your issue.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hullo Kevin,
Thanks for the pointer. Your suggestion did work.
That leads me to 2 questions, when does one use the File->Set File Search Path... option and
finally why and where is the SV directory being pulled from by default?
Thanks to you guys for such a great product!
Cheers
Kofi

Hello Kofi,
You'll use 'File > Set File Search Path' if you want to pump a different audio file through your layout (when you run your design). Doing this will tell Audio Weaver where to look for the audio file. After setting the path, you also need to then select the audio file in the Layout Properties ('Layout > Layout Properties...').
I'm not sure why the SV directory was set to your path. Before I answered you yesterday, I downloaded a new copy of the ST Audio Weaver version you had to make sure it wasn't defaulting to the wrong path. Mine was fine, and we haven't had any other similar issues reported so far with that release. I'm sorry I can't say for sure, but I'm glad it's working for you now.
Let us know if you run into any more issues.
Thanks,
Kevin
