This prompt occurs when Designer is not able to contact our web License server, usually due to network firewalls. If you are unable to edit the firewall settings to allow Designer to contact our license server, then please click the 'Request Offline Licensing' button on the prompt you posted and follow the instructions there. This process will provide you with an offline key that you can use to log in to Designer even without internet access.
I requested for offline license, and added a licence key. now the server is opening up, but I am getting wierd errors on matlab when opening awe_designer.

Hello,
It looks like Designer is getting stuck while launching. Does the Designer GUI open up at all when you type 'awe_designer'?
Can you try restarting MATLAB?
Also, in your AWE Server window, does it list at least 1 input and 1 output under the Pins section?
