Hi everyone,
we all know the ASIO4all workaround to route audiochannels from a DAW to audioweaver. Till now I always did this task with the Dante VIA Software.
For users of the great DAW Reaper (https://www.reaper.fm/) I found another easy way to route audiochannles from Reaper to Audioweaver and back to Reaper, where you can as usual output your audiochannels to any soundcard.
When you install Reaper (be careful, to make it work with audiowaever you have to install the 32bit version of Reaper), there is an extra selectable tick to install the little feature ReaRoute (https://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/route-master).
This is an 16 I/O ASIO Driver, which you can select in the AWE Server Preferences as ASIO Device, when you run Reaper. Inside Reaper you can route any audiotrack to any ReaRoute channel, which makes the audiostream available in audioweaver. Backwards from Audiowaever to Reaper you easily choose any ReaRoute channel at the input of an audiotrack.
I hope this idea helps someone, when such a routing application is needed.
Kind regards
Max
